Guatemalan Food

guatemala has lots of grain to make their food. They also are known for their fresh fruit expesially mangos. They have little market mainly with fruits and vegies.

Education system of Guatemala
They have nursery school from 3-6 years old and that prapares you for, Elementary school from 7-12 years. That prapares you for 1st secondary from 13-15. Then you can go to 2nd secondary education for professional training or 2nd secondary education for you high school deploma from 16-18. Then university if you went to 2nd secondary education for high school deploma. The universities in Guatemala are suffering because of lack of money.

In 1821 guatemala gained its independence.
In 1859, British rights to the area were defined in a treaty with Guatemala.
Guatemala's Location and Geography
Guatemala is located in central America.It has an area of 108,890 sq km (42,043 sq mi).The length is 457 km(284 mi.).The area occupied by Guatemala is a little bit smaller than the state of Tennessee.

The earliest inhabitants of Cuba were the Guanajatabey people.There was about 100,000 of them and they were hiunters, gathers, and farmers.

Cuba's school system
When you first start school you r in kindergarten from 4-6 years old. after kindergarten you go to primary from 6-11 years. After that it is basic secondary from 12-15.Then you go to technical secondary or upper secondary from 15-18. Any higher education is taught by universities.

Natural Resources
Cuba is one of the world's largest producers of nickel. Among its other mining resources are large deposits of iron ore and copper. Gold, silver, chromium, and cobalt are also mined. Although petroleum has been produced since 1916, more than 90 percent of Cuba's petroleum demand was supplied by the Soviet Union until 1990. Today most of the country's energy needs are met by imports of Cuba.
Cuban Money
1 US dollar = 0.82 Peso convertible (18% less). The national cuba currency is the Cuban Peso, which is equivalent to 100 centavos (cents). Notes can be of 1, 3, 5, 10, 20, 50 and 100 pesos. Coins can be of 1, 5 and 20 centavos, and there are others of 1 and 3 pesos.





Government of Cuba
Cuba is a totalitarian state controlled by President Fidel Castro, who is Chief of State, Head of Government, First Secretary of the Communist Party, and commander-in-chief of the armed forces. President Castro exercises control over all aspects of life through the Communist Party and its affiliated mass organizations, the government bureaucracy headed by the Council of State, and the state security apparatus.
